Cycling the Adriatic coast

Pedal along Croatia's coastal roads, explore historic sites, relax on beaches and sail from island to island. In this idyllic setting, you enjoy a sunny, gourmet and rejuvenating holiday.

This seaside-oriented bike tour of Croatia along the Adriatic Sea, between Split and Dubrovnik, combines the discovery of cities with a thousand years of history with the exploration of paradise-like islands. Well-calibrated, the cycling stages are steep but relatively short. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the beach, historic sites, charming hotels and fine restaurants of the Adriatic coast.

Your tour begins in the historic city of Split, where the remains of the palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian provide a breathtaking backdrop. Mount your horse and ride through the cobbled streets of the old town before continuing along the Dalmatian coast.
At the end of your stay, take time to explore every corner of Dubrovnik’s old town. Discover the medieval ramparts, enchanting alleyways and multi-faceted history of the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Adriatic Sea coast is studded with a myriad of islands, which we invite you to cycle around during this holiday thanks to numerous boat crossings. Renowned for its precious limestone, used in the construction of the region’s emblematic monuments such as the White House, the island of Brač offers travelers a beautiful diversity of landscapes. By bike, explore stone quarries, discover sublime beaches, pedal through sleepy villages and enjoy panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea.

The island of Hvar is steeped in history. The UNESCO World Heritage site of Stari Grad is a perfect illustration. Cycle through lavender fields and along beaches on picturesque coastal roads. Finally, the island of Korčula is renowned for its gastronomy. Take advantage of the hilly landscape to sample traditional culinary specialties (fish stew, octopus salad, gnocchi, fried fish, pašticada…) accompanied by local wines.

Between Split and Dubrovnik, this cycling trip punctuated by magnificent boat crossings offers an immersive experience combining culture, history, gastronomy and breathtaking scenery along the magnificent Croatian coast.
