Along the way, you’ll experience diverse landscapes and uncover England’s rich heritage—a route full of contrasts, following the Thames from the tranquility of the English countryside to the excitement of the metropolis.

The Cotswolds region is brimming with charm. With its lush meadows, picturesque villages, and winding rivers, it captivates nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike. From the very first stages, you’ll be immersed in England’s past. The route is dotted with abbeys, castles, and grand manor houses that tell the story of this historic land. As you approach London, don’t miss Windsor Castle, an official royal residence, and Hampton Court Palace, the grand Tudor home of King Henry VIII. For a unique detour, climb Uffington White Horse Hill, where an ancient, mysterious chalk figure is carved into the hillside.

Each day, you’ll follow scenic cycling routes along the gentle curves of the River Thames, your constant guide from Lechlade in the Cotswolds to London. The route meanders through peaceful countryside, along quiet greenways and charming rural roads, offering an idyllic cycling experience in a protected natural setting.

A cycling trip in England wouldn’t be complete without stopping at traditional pubs. Take a break in a Cotswolds tavern to refuel with classic fish and chips or a comforting steak and ale pie. In the pubs, mingle with the locals, who are happy to chat with cyclists and show you English hospitality. Don’t miss out on afternoon tea, a cherished British tradition—an excuse for a well-deserved break at every stage of your journey. For a surprising twist, you’ll even pass through award-winning vineyards, where you can sample the emerging and impressive world of British wines.

Your cycling adventure culminates in London—what better way to end your journey than in Europe’s largest city? Home to nearly 15 million people, London offers endless attractions and activities. Dedicate a full day to exploring its iconic landmarks, whether on foot, by Underground, or aboard a classic red double-decker bus. Wander from Tower Bridge to St. Paul’s Cathedral, visit Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and soak up the lively atmosphere along the banks of the Thames.
