The many bike paths

Cycling in Austria between lake and mountain in the Salzburg region.

Nature and culture

It is in the city of Mozart that this stay begins. Salzburg, which means “salt castle”, is a charming town, on the German border and at the foot of the Alps. Its size makes it an ideal starting point to discover Austrian culture in this stay. The historic section, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a testament to a thriving economy and today allows you to walk in beautiful streets and between splendid facades.

Cycling, the beautiful bike paths, your stay takes you to tour the wonderful alpine lakes in a relaxing and imposing nature. In this region of the “Trumer-Seen-Land”, cycling is king. This tour allows you to fully enjoy the views of the mountains that surround you.

Around the lakes and along the Salzach River, the route is totally flat. The vast majority of the course is on bike path. A few kilometers of connections to change valleys take you back on shared roads and require some effort to cross the valleys. Despite rare steep slopes, the course is accessible and offers some of the most beautiful landscapes that Austria and the Alps have to offer. This wild but peaceful nature offers a very pleasant active rest for your holidays. The air and the atmosphere of the mountain awaken the senses!

The program proposed in 9 days is also possible in 7 or 8 days.
